FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

December 13, 2001, Fairfield, New Jersey. Mark Machine, Inc., a leading supplier of surgical instruments and implants to the orthopaedic implant industry, today announced the relocation of all manufacturing and administrative functions to its new, 26,000 square foot, state-of-the-art facility in Fairfield, New Jersey.

Mark Machine founder and President Jaime Martinez reported that continuing strong demand for the expertise of the company, including the design and fabrication of complex surgical instruments and orthopaedic implants, necessitated the move to larger facilities. He added, "The move will also allow us to focus on our core growth strategy, shifting the mix more to the implant side of our business over the next five years. With the new building, we're in perfect position to continue the expansion of our production capacity to keep pace with the increased demand from our customers."

Mark Machine was started in 1983 with 2 employees and a modest complement of production equipment and has grown to be a major supplier to the orthopaedic and surgical instrument industry. It operates with a completely integrated computer aided design and manufacturing protocol and employs over 70 people. ISO certification is expected in early 2002.
