Friedrich Daniels Achieves Significant Production Improvements

Friedrich Daniels, a custom surgical instrument manufacturer located in Solingen, Germany, has achieved significant production improvements. With its primary business in orthopaedic instrument manufacture, Daniels has increased production by 20% and reduced overall lead times to 5-6 weeks or less, within a one-month span. These improvements come as a result of the company’s forecasting at the forging level and utilizing dedicated flow lines and cellular manufacturing. In addition, the company:

  • Has relocated into a new 35,000 square feet state of the art design/manufacturing facility.
  • Increased production by 20% and reduced internal lead times by an average 2 weeks.
  • Will become ISO certified this year.
  • Still turns prototypes around in 2 weeks or less.

Friedrich Daniels has been satisfying the needs of the orthopedic community with custom surgical instrumentation for over 50 years. The company is an FDA registered and approved prototype and production facility.
