• Hydroxylapatite (HA) Coating — Orchid Bio-Coat has broken the elusive code between HA coating characteristics and resulting clinical success. With over a million implants coated, spanning a 17-year period, Orchid Bio-Coat has emerged a true leader in the HA field.

• Titanium Plasma Spray (TPS) Coating — Orchid Bio-Coat is one of the only companies in the world to offer medical implant vacuum plasma sprayed coatings, using the same technology and robotic equipment used in the aerospace industry. This technology provides a unique opportunity to offer porosity throughout the entire coating, without relying on a solid bond coat, necessary with inert gas technologies.

• Resorbable Blast Media (RBM) Coating — Orchid Bio-Coat was the first to offer the only true, pure titanium, roughened surface for implants. While other surface-roughening treatments leave either damaging residual debris or residual chemicals on the surface, the use of calcium phosphate blasting with the RBM process eliminates these concerns.
