WILMINGTON, MA - Nov 18, 2005 -VIASYS® Orthopedics / Tecomet™ announced the opening of LaunchQuick™, a new, state-of-the-art, dedicated Process Development Center in its Wilmington, Massachusetts facility. LaunchQuick™ provides the collaborative environment surgeons and OEMs need to spawn new ideas. With the latest equipment and most sophisticated technologies, LaunchQuick™ is designed to reduce time-to-market for new product launch through a seamless transition to full-scale manufacturing. The center will produce first article, small batches for testing and lab evaluation, and pre-series for clinical evaluation. LaunchQuick™ is equipped with 4-Axis and 5-Axis Machining Centers, as well as a 9-Axis Integrated Machining Center.
