Swiss orthopedic surgical instrument manufacturer, Precimed SA announces the addition of a new manufacturing facility in Corgémont, Switzerland (located one hour NE of the capital of Berne). Initial additional manufacturing space equals 12,000 square feet with plans to expand to 22,000 square feet by Q3/2005. Expansion plans continue in 2006 with an extra 12,000 square feet bringing the total to approximately 34,000 square feet. With a significant machine budget for 2005 Precimed's capacity increases to include additional laser welding, cutting and etching, Swiss CNC, CNC turning and 7-axis grinding machines to support the expansion. These improvements to Precimed's manufacturing capabilities reflect a 40% increase for the January-April 2005 time period compared to the same period in 2004.
