| Return to Supplier News Source: Quadion Corporation’s Minnesota Rubber and QMR Plastics Divisions Announces Acquisition Of S&W Plastics Minneapolis, Minnesota: Minnesota Rubber and QMR Plastics announced the acquisition of S&W Plastics, a 35-year-old plastic injection molding manufacturer based in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed as both companies are privately held. The acquisition brings together two rapidly growing and long established plastics manufacturers with a focus on medical, electronics and industrial markets. The acquisition announcement was made as Quadion Corporation and its Minnesota Rubber division launch their 60th anniversary. The company started in 1945 with one small building and 12 employees and has grown to eight plants worldwide with annual sales over $100 million and more than 1000 employees. S&W Plastics brings to Minnesota Rubber and QMR Plastics a strong customer base in the medical industry. According to Robert W. Carlson, Jr., Chairman of the Board, “The S&W acquisition demonstrates our commitment to our expanding presence as a supplier to the medical community as it adds new capacity and resources to our QMR Plastics operations.
