1/20/04 - DOT GmbH (Rostock, Germany) has enlarged its thermal spray equipment by purchase of a Sulzer Vacuum Plasma System “MultiCoat”, which is in operation since 15 January 2004. The added capacity (investment = 1m Euro) will allow DOT to expand its services for high precision Titanium plasma spray coating.

“MultiCoat” represents a new generation of thermal spray equipment with a sophisticated computer-aided process control, making possible a substantial quality improvement of porous titanium coatings.

Additional staff members were employed for masking and operational tasks related to the new system.
