Author responsibilities
...Simple
• Crisp • Brief
• Clear • Focused Characteristics of a good 'feature' story - Your task is to present content that OEM decision-makers will find useful. 'Usefulness' can be derived from material that is educational, enlightening, or illustrative. Content should address processes, procedures or technologies. A good feature editorial is concise, although it may use more adjectives, adverbs or descriptive words than a 'news' story. Write your story in the third person. Consistent 'point of view': Avoid first and second tense pronouns. First-person text is written from the perspective of I or we; second-person text is addressed to you; third-person text describes him, her, it, or them. There are a finite number of pages available in each issue for (1) Advertisements; (2) 'In Each Issue'; and (3) Feature Editorials. The Editor reserves the right to limit the number of editorials that are published in a particular issue. Authors are urged to act expeditiously to allow adequate time to complete the preparation, submission, review and approval processes. Julie
